Seder Kriah is a 5-stage Kriah decoding system with skill based activities embedded into scaffolded Kriah pages. Seder Kriah incorporates all contemporary reading methods without compromising on the Mesorah of Komatz Aleph 'Aw'.
 
THE PROCESS :
Kriah pages are scaffolded from the individual components of letters/vowels to multisyllable words with complex rules. The Kriah pages for each Kriah skill set begins with guided skill instruction moving to independent mastery with contemporary skill activities disbursed between Kriah pages.
 
Seder Kriah uses the following Skillsets:
 
Sound Production
Awareness of producing speech sounds.
 
Phonological Awareness ​​
Ability to discriminate sounds embedded within spoken words.
 
Visual Awareness ​​
​​Quicker visual awareness of letters, nekudos and rules freeing up time needed for recall/recognition.
 
Multi Sensory Techniques ​​
​​Use of other senses (e.g writing for reading improving the brain’s processing of sounds and symbols and supplementing for other Kriah delays.
 
Intrinsic Kriah  
Pages with guided instruction on the page and activites using relevant words develop intrinsic motivation to read and move students to independent mastery one Kriah step at a time.
 
 
Seder Kriah Stage 3:
Scaffolded syllable building of multisyllable words.Begins with 2 syllables including Sheva Nah and moves towards 4 and 5 syllable words.
 
5 Stages of Seder Kriah are in the following Order:
Stage 1 - Ois Nekudoh (Individual Letters with Vowels)
Stage 2 - Ois Nekudoh Ois (Closed Single Syllables)
Stage 3 - Havoros (Multi syllables)
Stage 4 - Klolim Meyuchodim (Special Rules)
Stage 5 - Kloli Shevo (Rules of Shevo Nah and Nach)
